It highlights the modern take on Romeo and Juliet. The movie revolves around the couple Tony (played by Ansel Elgort) and Maria (played by Rachel Ziegler) who are caught in an immense war between two gangs Jets and Sharks who are fighting to remain in control of the streets. The movie was initially released in Theaters in December 2021 and was released for online streaming in March 2022. It grossed over $38.6 Million in the US and is one of the top Disney Plus Movies and Shows. 

Fresh (Released on March 4, 2022)

Fresh is the directorial debut movie of Mimi Cave. The  comedy thriller features Daisy Edgar Jones and Sebastian Stan in the lead roles. The storyline of the movie revolves around a girl who is dating a young charming boy but later discovers her true horrific nature. The movie gives the short vibes of the murderer Ted Bundy as girl’s boyfriend is a butcher of human meat and so victimized women for the same. The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2022 and was released in March 2022. With a 7/10 rating, the movie generally received positive reviews from the viewers.

Turning Red (Released on March 11, 2022)

Directed by Domee Shi and produced by Lindsey Collins, Turning Red is a comedy fantasy movie set in Toronto, Ontario. The animation powerhouse explores the weirdness around puberty, Meilin Lee finds her life completely changed when her body undergoes changes and has hair in weird places. Special screenings of the movie took place in London and in Toronto. The World premiere of the movie was held in LA on March 1 after which the movie was released from streaming on March 11. It grossed over $15.5 Million across the world and is listed as the top Disney Plus movies.  

Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U (Released on March 25, 2022)

The Grammy nominee singer and songwriter Olivia Rodrigo’s insightful documentary Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U shows her journey of writing her debut album titled ‘Sorry’ from her road trip from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles. It featured live arrangements of her songs, interviews and behind the scenes clips from the making of the album. The movie directed by Stacey Lee was released for online streaming on March 25, 2022 and it is available on paid subscription of the streaming channel. 

Dropout (Released for streaming on March 3, 2022)

Top Disney Plus movies Dropout is based on the podcast The Dropout which is hosted by Rebecca Jarvis. It was created by Elizabeth Meriwether and premiered on the streaming platform Hulu on March 3, 2022. It is based on the true story of Elizabeth Holmes and her health-tech corporation, the story revolves around how ambition and fame can go completely wrong and how one can lose it all in the blink of an eye. With 7.4/10 rating, the movie got mostly favorable reviews from the viewers and critics. 

Mood KNight (Released on March 30, 2022)

Moon Knight created by Jeremy Slater is the sixth TV series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It introduces a new character  having mystical powers and shows a character named Oscar Issac with dissociative identity disorder. It was released in March to run for up to six episodes until May 4. A special screening of the movie was held at Cine Capitol in Madrid and at the British Museum in London along with the red carpet premiere at El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles. The movie received positive reviews from the viewers, especially Marvel fans.

How I Met Your Father (Released on March 9, 2022)

American sitcom How I Met Your Father was initially premiered on Hulu in January 2022. It is a spin-off of the show How I Met Your Mother. The story revolves around the character Sophie (played by Hilary Duff) and shows how she met her son’s father in 2021 while she was exploring the dating world along with her friends. With a rating of 5/10, the sitcom initially got negative reviews for the nostalgia it showed.
